Man bailed after five properties damaged in collision in Kessingland |

|
A 41-year-old man arrested following a single vehicle collision in Kessingland, which saw five properties damaged, has been bailed.
Police were called to the High Street just after 11:30pm on Wednesday 11 March, following reports that a van had come off the road and collided with a lamp post and several properties.
The occupants of the vehicle had then left the scene.
Police, the East of England Ambulance Service and Suffolk Fire & Rescue attended.
In total, five properties were damaged with residents evacuated due to a gas leak caused as a result of the collision.
A teenage boy, who lived in one of the properties that were struck, sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision and was assessed at the scene by paramedics.
Following police enquiries, officers located the driver a short distance away. A 41-year-old man was first taken to hospital for assessment, before being transported to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where he was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences as follows:
He has been released on police bail with conditions, to return on 7 May.
